[Qgis-user] legend.sizeWithUnits() not working properley

Hi all
Iam trying to get the size of a QgsLayoutItemLegend item using
legend.sizeWithUnits(). However, I always get the following answer:
<QgsLayoutSize: 0 x 0 mm > <QgsLayoutPoint: 0, 0 mm >
but when I run it separately, then I get the correct answer.
Any ideas how this comes and how to tackle this problem?
