[Qgis-user] Queries re Data Security

Dear QGIS Team,

I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to inquire about the data
handling protocols associated with the QGIS application, as our team is
considering utilizing it for our geospatial data processing needs. We have
certain security concerns regarding how our data is managed, specifically
pertaining to storage and transfer.

Could you please clarify the following:

   1. Does the QGIS application store any of the data we process on
   external servers or in the cloud?
   2. Are there any automatic data transfers that occur when using QGIS,
   either to third-party services or remote servers?
   3. What security measures are in place to ensure the protection of
   sensitive data processed within QGIS?
   4. Are there specific settings or configurations we should be aware of
   to maintain a secure environment while using QGIS?

Your expertise and guidance on these matters would be greatly appreciated
as we evaluate the suitability of QGIS for our projects. Ensuring the
confidentiality and integrity of our data is of utmost importance to us.
