[Qgis-user] Create Report with Atlas only for selected features

Dear Ladies and Gentlemen,
When creating a report with atlas functionality, I would like to export a page only for the selected features. I have already come across the information that the “Exclude Page from Export” function can be assigned the expression “not(is_selected())”.
However, this is problematic with large layers, as all features still have to be iterated through. Furthermore, the setting does not affect linked sub-reports.
The workarounds I have tried were either to temporarily store the selected features in a separate layer or to temporarily set a corresponding layer filter on the atlas layer for the export.
I would be very grateful if someone could tell me whether I might be overlooking a setting in the report that would solve my problem.
