Hi everyone,
I’d like to share that FiberQ v1.2.1 is now live on the QGIS Plugin Repository.
FiberQ is a free and open-source QGIS plugin for designing FTTH, GPON, and FTTx fiber optic networks directly inside QGIS.
This release is mainly focused on compatibility and stability. After extensive testing on both QGIS 3.22 LTR and the new QGIS 4 / Qt6 release, FiberQ now supports QGIS 4 / Qt6 while remaining compatible with QGIS 3.22 LTR and later.
What’s new in v1.2.1:
* Full QGIS 4 / Qt6 support while keeping compatibility with QGIS 3.22 LTR+
* Fixed crashes in dialogs, map tools, Locator, and the List of Latent Elements
* Optical Schematic view now correctly renders PE pipes and Transition pipes
* Pan button in the schematic now behaves consistently on both Qt5 and Qt6
* Cleared all findings from the QGIS repository Bandit security scan
The previous version was built against Qt5 only, and once QGIS 4 / Qt6 started rolling out, several dialogs and map tools began failing because of removed legacy PyQt API aliases. Instead of leaving a version that could silently break on newer installations, I deprecated it and rebuilt the plugin for dual Qt5/Qt6 compatibility.
Many thanks to everyone who reported issues and tested early builds.
The plugin can be installed directly from the QGIS Plugin Manager:

Feedback is very welcome.
Best regards,
[FiberQ]
