Hi,
I'm looking at running a QGIS workshop, including covering the GPS capabilities.
For attendees to access a GPS, I have a file of logged GPS NMEA sentences being fed through gpsd,(obviously on Linux) tested and working with gpsmon, as shown, connecting to port 2947 on localhost.
xgps & cgps also work fine, just as expected.
When I try to use QGIS (v3.34.15) to use the same port for GPS data (running on the same Linux computer)it fails to connect. Just the red error bar with the usual message. The settings seem fine.
The NMEA data were captured using QGIS in the first place.
Any suggestions? I don't see why QGIS fails to find and connect to the usual gpsd stream when the other apps find it just fine.
Thanks
Brent Wood
