[Qgis-user] Update QGIS-Desktop

Hello everyone,

I have a question about QGIS Desktop and updating to a new version.
We install QGIS Desktop using a software distribution tool called PDQ Deploy. We use this to install the QGIS-OSGeo4W-3.34.11-1_LTR.msi file remotely on Windows clients.
If I simply install the  new Version QGIS-OSGeo4W-3.44.12-1_LTR.msi file 'over' version 3.34, a second instance of QGIS is installed on the computer.

But how can I remotely update version 3.34.11-1_LTR to version QGIS-OSGeo4W-3.44.12-1_LTR.msi using a software deployment tool without installing a second instance?
