You've gotten the suggestion to run filesystem tests.

You are a cloud engineer, and therefore should be at least a little
suspicious of anything you haven't measured.   Please run basic tests
not with qgis and tell us what you did.    Asking a whole mailinglist to
guess what might be wrong, when we don't even know that your
computer/filesystems are ok, is not a great use of everyone's time.
