[Qgis-user] Creating a map with only streets and street names (Calvin Cox)

Hi Calvin

Are you wanting to create maps that consist solely of streets shown as 
defined by two lines indicating the two sides of the street, together 
with the street name shown either between the two lines or above or below?

If so, I have been creating such simple maps for several clients and for 
some time and perhaps could assist.
