Have you connected by a URL? E.g. WMS, or a file download. 
 
 
 
 
 For file download just drag and drop file. If you intend to edit the file, unzip download first, if not drag and drop entire zip download works. CRS is epsg 27700.

        Am using QGIS 3.44 for the first time, although have used
        (ocassionally) 3.16 before. 
 
       
 
         
 
       
 
       
 
        Am investigating the results of LIDAR data from the UK
        government program, and the use of the data. 
 
       
 
         
 
       
 
       
 
        I set the CRS of the program to match the info on the LIDAR file
        header and tried adding the file. All I got was a frame with a
        dashed border and an error message
         " Layer
            TM0220_P_12465_20211222_20211222:
           Untwine error:
            Untwine exited with code: 4294967295"
