Hi List --

Using QGIS installed on Debian Squeeze (actually MEPIS 11) from deb
repo listed on website. Help says the version is 1.4 (correct?).
Let me say what excellent work you are all doing. I use QGIS for my
relatively simple needs and it is terrific.

My suggestion: when I tried to use the delimited text plugin I had
problems, so clicked on Help and read the message. But at least for
me it turned out that no quotes are allowed to delimit text fields.
That is mentioned in the example below the list of requirements, but
it would be much easier for the first-time user if the list read
this way (also edited for consistency):
---------------
To
view a delimited text file as layer, the text file must contain:
--A delimited header row of field names. This must be the first
line in the text file.
--An X and Y field. These fields can have any name.
--Text fields delimited without quotes (")
--X and Y coordinates specified as a number. The coordinate system
is not important.
----------------
Minor, but I hope it may help.
