Hi<br><br>for question<br><br>2) Notice that when testing you have to use lat lon wgs 84 coordinates. I tested the settings and spatial reference and qgis offer the same result with the same coordinates<br><br>3) This is odd, When I load my world map I have a scale of 1:110,006,231. This is the proj 4 definition I am using. <br><br>+proj=robin +lon_0=0 +x_0=0 +y_0=0 +ellps=WGS84 +datum=WGS84 +units=m +no_defs<br><br>I am running qgis standallone in win7 32 bits. (Comparison: SpatialReference output coordinates <span id="ecxout">-929882.962919, -150401.172846 X QGIS Test coordinates -1052809,8856, -132264,0035).<br>
3) Even though I pushed ok and let QGIS do the transformation using 50 milion country shapefile from NaturalEarth. Now the messy thing comes up: I got projection defined with meter units and when i overview the whole shapefile, the scale field says 1:1045, which means the whole world fits my screen and it is only 1045 times smaller than it actually is.<br>

You can add a cutom crs at Settings/custom crs. The main thing is that the must be in proj 4 format. If you are familiar with proj 4 settings it is worth to test them before definin a new crs. The dialog box of settings custom crs allows you to do so. You can find some proj 4 ready settings at<div>
