The orthos are in fact in NAD 83, and I have Lon/Lat degrees associated with
the tree points like this:
wkt_geom ID Tag Latitude Longitude
POINT(-73.775020 43.075923) 1 199 43.0759233333 -73.77502
Since there are 10 orthos and only one tree file, should I then convert that
one to NAD 83?

If most of your base maps will be in NAD83, then it's probably a
good idea to standardize on that, and convert all GPS locations to
NAD83.

Note that "NAD83" is a datum = only one component of the full CRS.
You still need to know the complete CRS of the orthos in order to
reproject the tree locations.
