        similar problem on ubuntu, which I managed to resolve by
        removing package qt-at-spi (a screen reading app for
        accessibility). It also affected Scribus. The solution was

    I am not able to identify corresponding package in openSuse 12.2,
    but I can confirm that this problem is realated only to Gnome 3. I
    switched to LXDE which is faster to work with anyway. Doesn't happen
    there.<br>
