I guess the offline plugin does not work fully for 1.8 which is a shame. It's a wonderful tool for us that need to go out to the field. </div>

You will need to convert your GPS data to decimal degrees before importing<br>

that replace the deg min sec with the decimal degrees, save your data as a<br>

I'm getting this behaviour when loading a wms layer while setting tile size. This is a non-tiled service. I'm setting this option so I can print within the maximum image size limits imposed by the wms server.<br>
<br>
You can see this by setting a background color, pink for example.<br>
Loading the wms layer with tiles covers the pink background.<br>
Loading the same wms layer without setting the tiles size gives me a white transparent background and I can see the pink background. This is the correct expected behavior.<br>
<br>
Using Fiddler I can see that with tiles the requests don't have &TRANSPARENT=TRUE appended anymore.<br>
<br>
I'm using build f440b60.<br>

Can someone else reproduce this?<br>

I forgot to mention I have a workaround that works when there is no redirection on the wms server...<br>
<br>
You can set the following options on the wms connection properties:<br>
<br>
<br>
1) Append this to the wms url "?TRANSPARENT=TRUE" or "&TRANSPARENT=TRUE" if your url already has more parameters<br>
<br>
2) Check the option "Ignore GetMap URI reported in capabilities"<br>
<br>
This works fine only if your capabilities doc does not point to some other location than the wms url you defined in the connection...<br>
