        <li>Open the shape file as a layer in QGIS and style this layer.</li>
        <li>When you haved styled the layer, use the "Layer Properties"
          -> "Style" -> "Save Style" button on the layer</li>
        <li>Choose "QGIS Layer Style File" and create a qml style file.
          <br>
        </li>
        <li>Save the style file to the same directory as your shape file
          is placed in - and with the same name prefix  (Meaning: If the
          shape file is called c:\mydir\myshape.shp the qml file must be
          named c:\mydir\myshape.qml)</li>
      </ul>
      From now on, every time you open the shape file as a layer in QGIS
      , it will be styled according to the style parameters in the qml
      file. <br>
