<p dir="ltr">I normally use the gdal raster interpolation tool (what you are using) rather than the TIN tool for the same reason. The TIN tool work well with a few points. I don't know why exactly.</p>
<p dir="ltr">If you are non commercial, and have under a million points, you could use lastools to do the TIN. I you have line across your DEM, it means you have busted the lastools license.</p>
