<p><font face="Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif">I noticed that the
qgscodeeditor python class is not available in (my installation
of) trusty's qgis-2.14.3 packages (from repository with
ubuntugis dependencies), but it is available in xenial's qgis-2.14.3
(from repository without ubuntugis dependencies). <br>

<p><font face="Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif">I was not able to find
further information about the issue on-line, but a line on the
api docs saying it might not be available on some platforms.<br>
</font></p>
<p><font face="Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif">Is there any way to
workaround it (without compiling qgis from source on trusty)? <br>
</font></p>
<p><font face="Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif">Was it deliberately not
compiled in for some reason?</font></p>
<p><font face="Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif">Is it available in
other pre-compiled binary distributions? (I'm thinking in a user
case/scenario working with windows or mac ports, for instance).<br>
