Is there a file similar to this <i><b>your_project_name.qgs~</b></i>,
where "your_project_name" is replaced by your shortcut/project name,
if so, this would be a solution, rename it to something like <i><b>project_name_2.qgs
</b></i>and open it. I hope this solves the issue.<br>

<p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="EN-US">today I was using QGis
until it crashed. Now it will not start, telling me the
qgis-bin.exe is missing. I’ve restarted my computer several
times now but still the error remains. <o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="EN-US">I’ve start qgis with the
same link not less then one hour ago and I certaintly didn’t
delete any .exe files. Does anyone knows if there are lock
files which can cause this error? <o:p></o:p></span></p>
