could though make them permanent when you’re finished, by creating a new field and using the virtual field as the source.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p>I must acknowledge my complete lack of the ESRI tools, so I am left with the first hits I find in an internet search to guess what it does exactly.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p>My first guess is, that "default value" configuration is what you are looking for. There is support for QGIS expressions - which opens up a wide variety of possibilities.<o:p></o:p></p>
