Just for completeness of the discussion - <br>
You can use org2ogr to separate and save the layers. As Rick notes
above, you can get all the underlying data from the National Map.
Pulling out the layers with ogr2ogr will give you layers with the
same extent as the quad you're interested in if that matters for
some reason. <br>
