<p>Hi,</p>
<p>If it's only date metadata you are interested in, you could write
a script to extract that info from the metadata and display it in
the raster layer name?</p>
<p>Or, simply, rename the raster layer to include the date?</p>
<p>An other possibility is to create a "legend widget" with the info
you want to display.<br>
</p>
<p>Cheers,<br>
Benoit</p>

<span>A raster database has not been developed yet in QGIS,
unless it was recently add and don’t know about it. I did

metadata (Like layer name, file name) can queried as
variables. Could this be used in a python script?
Anyone???</span><br>

<span>Ultimately, you could do a raster to vector conversion
and add the data in a new database. You could make that
layer transparent but still access the dataset.</span><br>
