<b>Filter </b>the data before editing, removing all but the data you are looking to edit.

<b>Show Features Visible On Map</b>, I have not tried it but, you can set this as the default behaviour by going to
<b>Settings</b>, <b>Options, Data Sources</b> and under <b>Feature Attributes and Tables</b> set the
<b>Attribute table behaviour</b> to <b>Show Features Visible on Map</b>.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
