<div dir="ltr">Greetings,<div><br></div><div>I'm sure there is a way to use the available flight data to generate approximate points for each images based on the flight paths and then just use that to georeference them. <p class="MsoNormal"><span style="color:rgb(31,73,125)">Though the biggest issue is, in talking on the guys on the Open Drone Mapper forum, our overlaps aren’t sufficient for SFM, so an automated process will be out of the question.

<p>You would require a couple of things:<u></u><u></u></p>
<p>1) Camera interior orientation which would include the lens calibration<u></u><u></u></p>
<p>2) exterior orientation which would include precise coordinate at time of exposure as well as the pitch, roll and yaw of the camera.<u></u><u></u></p>
<p>3) the offsets from the camera film or sensor center to the center of the aircraft gps antenna.<u></u><u></u></p>
<p>4) an accurate DEM or your target area<u></u><u></u></p>
<p>If you have the above data, you can autoreference your images.<u></u><u></u></p>
<p>If the images have a high endlap and sidelap, you could use commercial software such as Pix4D or Global Mapper to orthorectify the images based on structure from motion. Check into drone orthorectification software.<u></u><u></u></p>
