and I figured out from

, that "Korea_2000" was an older name used by ESRI a few years
ago for what EPSG now calls "KGD2002". Ideally PROJ (the
library used underneath by QGIS to manage coordinate systems)
should store this alias somewhere, but it doesn't currently</p>
<p>Anyway you can safely use EPSG:5186 for shapefiles with a
KGD200_Central_Belt_2010 .prj. This is just the same CRS.<br>

We have been using QGIS since around 2020 and have been working on many GIS projects during this time. However, we recently discovered that the data we have collected and analyzed seems to be in a different coordinate system. Upon comparing the projection details in the .prj files, we noticed that they are nearly identical except of the name of the coordinate system, but we are unsure if there has been a change in naming due to updates of the software. Could you please share any information on this issue if you have? </p>
