I use this expression round( $area / 10000, 2) || ' ha' in the calculator box through the attributtable.</div>

When i click enter, i just get a 0 in the ha field. Could it have something to do with the background i'm using coming from web-quickmapservice- google satellite?<br>

Not sure I understood correctly your issues and why you correlate the <br>
downloading issue to the area calculation issue.<br>

Anyway, regarding the area calculation issue, please specify the QGIS <br>
version that you are using, the CRS of the layer which the features <br>
geometries are stored in, and what expression you are using (and where <br>
you are using it exactly) in order to obtain the measure of the area in <br>
hectares.<br>
<br>
Obtaining the value in hectares of the area of a feature's geometry in a <br>
ESPG:25832 layer is as simple as using the expression: area(@geometry)/10000<br>
