<div dir="ltr">Update. I found out that it makes a difference whether I copy from one QGIS instance to another
(if I have two qgis desktop instances running), or whether I copy between two layers in the same instance. At least in some cases, copying inside one instance will match field names, where as copying between instances will instead ignore naming and use attributes order only.
