Good Morning Tshepo,
Please note that I unfortunately cannot give individual support on QGIS.
You should address the South Africa QGIS user group at
qgis-za-user at lists.osgeo.org that might be able to help. Then please
provide as much information as possible on what you are trying to do
with what functions in QGIS so that it is easy for the respondents to
answer your question. Otherwise it goes forwards and backwards with lots
of emails clogging up everybody's inboxes.
But while we are busy: How do you create the KML files from text files?
What do you mean by "all metadata is lost" when you import the file back
into QGIS? Please remember that the KML file is a very simple XML file
which does not store metadata, but it should store the "labels". The
coordinates and the label plus a description field are the only values
the KML can "store", as far as I know.
Regards
Immo
