[SAC] trac sleepy (too many open git connections?)

Hi SAC,

right now trac is rather unusable. I have noted that there are many open git
connections:

netstat | grep git.osgeo.org| wc -l
getnameinfo failed
getnameinfo failed
getnameinfo failed
getnameinfo failed
getnameinfo failed
329

I wonder if that's related. A restart of Apache did not help to speed up trac.

Load average looks ok. For traffic flow, try
watch 'ifconfig | grep bytes'

Any ideas?
