That might work well. My only concern is that the user/email associated
with the Apple ID account is accessible by me and anyone else that needs to
stay informed or administer the account. Maybe a generic group user and
email, like OSGeo SAC <codesign at osgeo.com>, needs created?
I think it prudent that the 'user' for the Apple ID is virtual, if
possible, so it is not tied to a particular individual. The ID is used for
logging into the Apple Mac Developer site, of which one feature is
generating the code-signing certs. The Developer program also offers
pre-release versions of Mac OS X, which OSGeo developers could use to test
their software against.
