This is a resend of my original post. Sorry I guess with all those images in the email from everyone's logos it was too big. So I'm sending in plain text and cutting out the unnecessary back and forth from earlier.

Thanks,
Regina

Okay I'll look into mapping existing. I'll start with my own.

I have LDAP wordpress integration working now.

I ended up going with WpAuth (which seemed to have the largest number of installs).

I originally started with Active Directory Integration / LDAP because it had the most positive reviews and had been recently updated and quickly got turned off by that
https://wordpress.org/plugins/ldap-login-for-intranet-sites/

1) Required me to register to get an API key
2) Finally couldn't get it to work (and didn't try that hard because of 1)

Next I tried which I'm settling for now is : https://wordpress.org/plugins/wpdirauth/
(wasn't marked as tested with our version, but it worked, and has a larger use base than the first I tried) and allows for a mix of both local accounts and LDAP accounts and allows logging in via Wordpress if LDAP is down.

It auto-created my account on first login (which is probably most important feature)
And does allow you to pull select accounts from LDAP if you want to create ahead of time.

Only issue with it is which I'm suspecting will be an issue with any LDAP plugin we use is you can't have two user accounts with the same email address. So I had to switch my existing account to have a different email.

That said, we'll probably have to map existing users to their LDAP before we can use this.

To Jody and Vicky, can you verify your old account set up by GetInteractive one still works, that I didn't mess it up.
I'm not sure what happens if a user was already in system using a username the same as what they use in LDAP.

I think Vicky – the user name in wordpress and your LDAP one are the same, so you'd be a good test.

Thanks,
Regina
