 Thanks cvvergara that looks great.

 As for the possible improvements, swapping away form the tiles looks odd.
 Perhaps consider dropping the icon so everything is just a simple list? We
 can also higher Get Interactive to make the visual choices so we are not
 stuck making them.

 Small feedback on the text (try and keep it short since it takes up room).

 > Events are where our community gather to share updates on our work and
 ideas for future collaboration. Our annual FOSS4G conference brings many
 of us together in one place, and local FOSS4G events and meetup groups are
 where members can gather with those nearby.
