 I fixed the browser tab icon by going to - https://www.osgeo.org/wp-
 admin/themes.php -> Roots (Customize) -> Site Identity

 and then uploading this image -
 https://github.com/OSGeo/osgeo/blob/master/marketing/branding/logo/osgeo-
 emblem-rgb.png

 That supposedly controls both the tab icon and the favicon.

 Unfortunately when I try to drag and drop the address, I always get the
 chrome icon in chrome.  Firefox seems to give me the wordpress icon, but I
 suspect that maybe be cached somewhere.

 Can you see if this fixes your issue.
