 Or indeed edit the home page content at all, perhaps due to recent update
 (https://trac.osgeo.org/osgeo/ticket/2695).

 Previously the home page presented with boxes to fill in for the different
 columns ("Helping you succeed", etc...). And you could select the event to
 be highlighted from the list of upcoming events.
