[Hosting] Network outage 08-21-2025

Hi All,

We apologize for an unplanned 10-minute network outage earlier today. We
understand this caused inconvenience and regret the disruption.

The outage occurred during a planned migration of our spine switches to
newer hardware, a necessary step for our upcoming data center move.
Unfortunately, the failover process did not work as expected, leading to
unexpected downtime. We apologize for not sending a prior notification.
While we attempted a single-switch migration, it did not go as smoothly as
anticipated. Despite the initial challenges, we have successfully completed
the migration and are now operating on the new switch hardware.

Everything should now be back to normal. If you are still experiencing
issues, please contact us at support at osuosl.org. Your patience and
understanding are greatly appreciated as we improve our infrastructure.
