[SoC] [OSSIM] Ossimplanet integration with Grass and Qgis - status report #9

Week 9 (July 24, 2009)

What did I do this week:

Bugfixing, gui cosmetics.
Implemented a new function+relative gui to save point-of-view in kml  
format.
Working to eliminate all the hardcoded path and configuration strings  
(like : host,port, etc...) adding a preference panel to setup the  
needed vars .
Added splashscreen.

What do I plan on doing next week:
Continue bug fixing, gui cosmetics, message-dialogs to manage  
exception (like: joystick not found, missing configuration etc...).
Try to use the java app, from "planet message" to send data-message.
Investigate if possible to work on a function to place 3d model  
(collada .dae) inside a kml.
Working on a function to rotate/scale/traslate a vector object  
(usefull to positioning a vector on the screen)

Am I blocked on anything:
Continue to read and try to learn the ossim tcp inteface (target: send  
data using tcp connection).
