Hello everyone,

*What did I do this week?*

   - Progressed on the OSM Routing Importer:
   https://github.com/GretaCB/Routing-Project/tree/master/neo4j/src/main/java/org/neo4j/neo4j
   - Successfully implemented distance calculation and set cost (time to
travel). So importer can use OSM data using miles or kilometers.
   - Added SHORTCUT relationships between crossroads for optimized
routing...but still need to figure out how to add distance/cost to these
relationships (any ideas are welcome!). Hoping to have that done by the
   final day August 20.
   - Added oneway/bidirectional relationships
   - Spoke with my mentor, we agreed there would not be much time to start
on uDig plugin. Instead, I concentrated on optimizing and adding further
   features to the importer.
   - Successful testing on both US and European OSM files.

*What will I be working on next week?*

   - Polish up code and create class that prompts user for filepath and
   nodes to route (before Monday).
   - Update my project website!
   - Fill out paperwork

*Did I meet with any stumbling blocks?*

   - Just racing to get the final SHORTCUT feature done

Thank you,
Carol Hansen
