Hello,
My name is Akanksha Shrivastava, a 4th year undergraduate student at Indian
Institute of Technology Kharagpur. I went through the ideas page, and I am
interested in Multi-view Geometry and Bundle Adjustment.
I have the required skill set - I am well versed in C/C++ and am familiar
with matrix operations and iterative optimization. But what caught my eye
was the geometrical image analysis nature of the project. I have worked on
a project that required matching images drawn by same person and comparing
it with drawings done by another person, and I really enjoyed the project.
I had read extensively about SIFTing, although I ended up using Scale
Invarient Image Moments instead. This really looks like a very interesting
opportunity!
It would be a wonderful experience for me to be able to learn more and
contribute to this open source project. Although, I am just faintly
familiar with Optiks and have no prior experience in open source
development. Hence, it would be great if I can discuss the project with
probable mentors, in order to understand the project requirements better
and formulate my proposal submission.
Regards,
