Hi OSgeo GSoC community

My name is Adam Steer, I work at Australia’s National Computational Infrastructure (http://nci.org.au) in a research data services team, essentially working on methods for helping scientists access and process the many petabytes of earth systems data we hold - which involves a lot of outreach for OGC services from time to time (ie ‘what are and why and when to use WMS/WCS/WPS/??; and why should we design around them?). I’m also deeply involved in data service development for topology-free point data (ie data from airborne LIDARs and 3D photogrammetry and TLS and handheld LiDARs and airborne geophysics) - which is really the thing I get most excited about.

At this point in time I’m interested in co-mentoring two projects proposed by Julia Wagemann for GSoC ’17, and have e-mailed gsoc admin to kick off the registration process.

…although I’m super keen to see how the pyWPS projects pan out - since I’m neck deep in making some pyWPS things go at the moment :)

Thanks,

Adam
