We hope you all are continuing on your open source journey. We wanted to
give you all a few updates.

*Quick reminders for any of you interested in being a GSoC Contributor for
2022 *

1. You can participate in GSoC as an accepted student/contributor a maximum
of 2 times, but GSoC 2022 can be your 2nd time only if you were a GSoC
student in 2020 or 2021. If you were a GSoC student before 2020 you would
not be eligible to participate as a GSoC 2022 contributor.

2. GSoC 2022 is now open to new and beginner developers (it's no longer
just for students). So if you are no longer a student but you participated
in GSoC 2020 or 2021 you would still be eligible for a second acceptance in
2022.

3. *GSoC Contributor Applications open Monday, April 4 at 1800 UTC and
close Tuesday, April 19 at 1800 UTC at g.co/gsoc <http://g.co/gsoc>*


*Interested in being a GSoC Mentor in 2022?*
Many of you are likely already registered to be mentors for GSoC 2022,
thank you! If you want to mentor for your org that you participated with in
your GSoC program, or even in another org that you have been involved with
be sure to reach out to the org admins now to let them know you are
interested. And you can help review the contributor apps as they start
coming in next week.
