[SoC] GSoC 2023 - Coding Period - Second Week Report - Implement SensorThings API standard in istSOS

Hello everybody,

I am writing this email to provide an update on the work I have completed
during the second week of the coding period.

The following tasks have been accomplished:

- Researched SensorThingsAPI[^1], PostgREST[^2], and the ODATA Standard[^3].
- Studied lexers and parsers.
- Started implementing[^4] the converter for the $filter parameter in the
SensorThingsAPI queries.

_What did I plan to do the next week?_

- Continue implementing the converter.
- Perform testing and validation.
- Begin integrating the converter with the SensorThingsAPI.

_Am I blocked on anything?_

- Final exams in the upcoming weeks even though I will manage my schedule
efficiently to balance both commitments.
- Lack of prior experience with lexers and parsers even though I am
confident that I will overcome this challenge successfully.
