"Using Collector for ArcGIS and Lessons Learned"
-Presented by Eric Wilson, GIS Developer, KCI Technologies
"ROAM if you want to, ROAM around the world.(and collect some data while
you're doing it! - for free)"
-Presented by Julia Harrell, GIS Specialist
ROAM is a simple to use FOSS4G (Free & Open Source Software for Geospatial)
field data collection application built using QGIS for the Windows platform
(Tablets & Laptops running full Windows, not Windows RT). ROAM is built as
a fully packaged Python application that bundles everything it needs into a
single folder and functions in offline/standalone mode. The full QGIS
software package is not required to be installed on the field clients. This
informational session will introduce the software and provide a short
demonstration of a small mapping project for collecting data in the field.
