¿Sólo 7 asistentes desde España al FOSS4G este año que lo tenemos tan cerca?

¡Venga animaos!

(Ya sé que hay unos cuantos expats que irán, pero aún así me parece
una cifra bastante baja)

The figures as of today (June 25th):

587 registrants, from all continents (except for Antartica)
497 of them finalized their registration and thus will attend.

80% from Europe (GER, UK, DK, NOR, NL, SWE, CH) and a remarkable
Estonian invasion of 17 people (which gives Estonia the award for the
highest participants/inhabitants ratio)
In total more than 50 countries, of which 7 African countries.
Relative low figures from Austria (due to FOSSGIS in Salzburg?), Spain
(7) and Brazil (0, probably due to the economy and the Olympics?

On the 2-months-before-the-conference mark, this sets us slightly
behind the schedule of FOSS4G 2013 in Nottingham (which ended up which
797 participants), a bit ahead of Portland 2014 (which had a slow
start of registrations, but ended up with 858 attendees) and on the
same level as Denver 2011 and Barcelona 2010 (that ended up with 886
and 870 attendees)

Keep up the good work, then the 800-mark is within reach.

Greetings from Bonn,

Gert-Jan

Dear LOC!

Steven pointed me to the idea to share the actual numbers more often.
So we'll do!

Today we have 493 people in the registration system of which

... are 406 really registered people
... are 68 from Germany, 29 from UK, 26 from US, ..... , 4 from
Australia, 2 from New Zealand and 1 from Argentina so far ... 128 also
booked a workshop ... 74 will attend on one of the Code Sprints ... 35
will attend on the B2B meeting!

promising, but ... we want more. So spread the word!

Also we can call out another sponsor:
Deutsche Bahn sponsored us with 5k € plus an amount of free train
tickets. We'll have to discuss who'll get in favour of these.

Also we decided to open exhibition also for supporter sponsors from
today on. We do not expect new crowds of sponsors, so if some of the
supporters like, they can go ahead.

Hope to get the 95%-program out in the next days!

BTW: I wear the 1st official FOSS4G T-Shirt when opening Bonner
Geosummer today ;-)
