[OSGeo-Standards] the wide world of standards bodies

dear Carl, thankyou for your detailed and thoughtful response to my
free-floating concerns about how geo-standards connect through
different "stamping" organisations. On these grounds, I'll try to take
up one of the 10 OGC individual memberships that are being made
available to OSGeo, and visit the TC meeting in Ispra to see what i
can figure out there. The schedule looks pretty interesting: 
http://www.opengeospatial.org/event/0712tc and it would be nice to put
more features and voices to all these familiar OGC email addresses ;)
