[OSGeo-Standards] WMTS comment period

Hi,

You may not be aware of the OGC Web Map Tile Service specification that's been released for public comment (comment period ends March 29 2009):

There's a discussion going on here:

Since OSGeo has put out related proposals:

and
http://wiki.osgeo.org/wiki/Tile_Map_Service_Specification

it might be worth while having a discussion of the relative merits / commonalities
of both here.

Particularly interesting IMHO is the appearance of REST in the vocabulary of the spec.
