[OSGeo-Standards] ESRI, please publicly share reasons for given for adopting the GeoServices REST API

I understand that ESRI has been emailing some OGC voting members reasons 
for approving the GeoServices REST API.

I think it appropriate to have an open discussion, and hear both the 
pros and cons for adopting the GeoServices REST API.

Could you please share your comments on a public email list so that the 
community has an opportunity to hear the other side of the argument.
