Hello,

I'd like to submit a nomination for myself to the OSGeo Standards
Committee. I'm a member of the STAC Project Steering Council
<https://github.com/radiantearth/stac-psc/> and am an OSGeo Charter Member
<https://www.osgeo.org/about/charter-members/>. My current employer,
Development Seed, is an OGC Member (Explorer). I'm excited to join the
Committee to help implementation and adoption of standards and
specifications in the community, and find ways to coordinate cutting-edge
software development with in-development and existing standards and
specifications.

Dear all,

Last week the first working draft of version 2 of the [SOSA](https://mastodon.social/tags/SOSA)/[SSN](https://mastodon.social/tags/SSN) web [ontology](https://mastodon.social/tags/ontology) was published by the W3C. Several years in the making, the [Sensors](https://mastodon.social/tags/Sensors), [Observations](https://mastodon.social/tags/Observations), [Samplers](https://mastodon.social/tags/Samplers) and [Actuators](https://mastodon.social/tags/Actuators) standard is receiving a major update, expanding its scope and aligning with even more domain models.
