Dynamically generating layers

Hi,

I've just started using the mapserver. I managed to install and make few 
applications using the maplab. I wanted to put some queries on it too.. like the 
one pmapper does. I was trying to hard-code the app, but couldnt, i couldnt 
figure out how we dynamically generate layers from the queries? could anyone 
help me out with it? I couldnt find any helpful tutorials on the web on 
mapservers. If you know of any..
