[TCMUG] Idea for next meeting - geonetwork??

I would be in to that topic. Would also like to encourage them to give presentations at the GIS/LIS conference this fall.

I am able to attend meetings more easily if they are scheduled for after 4 pm. Just my 2 cents.

I don't think that I'll have time to put something together. I can certainly talk informally about our
experience thus far. I'd still like to get Paul Morin from the AGIC project at the UMN over to talk to the
group. Paul would be person to speak about the need that we hope GeoNetwork can fill. Turns out
that there is another local project (also based at the UMN) also using GeoNetwork (in Africa) so perhaps
I could look into a more substantial presentation from both groups at the meeting after next. Plus, the
AGIC project should have something to actually demo by then.

I do think it would be an interesting topic. There are probably some misconceptions about what
GeoNetwork is or isn't and what it can do out of the box.
