The js.geo events have traditionally been cheap, one-day, 'un-events'. I
have only attended one, when it was associated with FOSS4G in Portland.

The first one was in Denver in 2013 [1]
The second one was in Portland on the day before FOSS4G 2014 [2]
This year, it was in Philadelphia.

Past years have included people who are on the leading edge of geo
development in javascript. Most (all?) of them have been held in a
university setting to keep the cost down.

I wonder if we could team up with U-Spatial to hold it at the U of M. If
people were feeling ambitious, we could potentially pair it up with a code
sprint. The original one was held in January, but the last two have been in
the fall.
