Are the GIS/LIS Workshops scheduled for this week by any chance?

Spring Break is March 14-18. No problem getting rooms and labs that week.

March 18 is a University Holiday, so it might be better to schedule towards the first part of the week.

Sounds great. I'm happy to secure rooms/facilities at UMN. When thinking about scheduling, it is far easier to find open rooms for a whole day when class is not in session (or a weekend).

The js.geo events have traditionally been cheap, one-day, 'un-events'. I have only attended one, when it was associated with FOSS4G in Portland.
The first one was in Denver in 2013 [1]
The second one was in Portland on the day before FOSS4G 2014 [2]
This year, it was in Philadelphia.

Past years have included people who are on the leading edge of geo development in javascript. Most (all?) of them have been held in a university setting to keep the cost down.
I wonder if we could team up with U-Spatial to hold it at the U of M. If people were feeling ambitious, we could potentially pair it up with a code sprint. The original one was held in January, but the last two have been in the fall.

A week or two ago, Brian Timoney floated the idea of having js.geo somewhere in the midwest next year. http://www.jsgeo.com/
Is anyone in this group interested in putting a bid together? It could be interesting to try to pull in some of the non-geo javascript groups in the Twin Cities too.
David.
